Deadlines for content revisions to the Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments, Real Estate Law and Residential Inspection for Real Estate Agents qualifying real estate course topics were adopted and are effective on August 7, 2018 for classroom courses and November 7, 2018 for courses offered through distance education.  If you have not resubmitted your courses for review, you may do so by mailing the Qualifying Real Estate Course Application, applicable course approval form, materials and fee to TREC at PO Box 12188 Austin, TX 78711-2188. Fees will be prorated based upon the original course approval date.

As an education provider approved to offer one or more of these courses, it is your responsibility to take the following actions:

• Provide written notification to all students enrolled in these courses at least 90 days prior to the effective dates of the deadlines.  The notice should inform the students that there are required changes to content and they must complete the courses before they expire for credit to be accepted.
• Provide notification to new students currently enrolling in these courses, prior to registration and payment, that the courses must be completed prior to the effective dates of the deadlines for credit to be accepted.
• Discontinue registration and sale of an expiring course at least three days prior to the effective date of the deadlines.

After August 7, 2018, the qualifying Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments, Real Estate Law and Residential Inspection for Real Estate Agents courses offered through classroom delivery, that have not been approved to meet the new content revisions, will not be accepted for qualifying credit if completed after this date.

After November 7, 2018, the qualifying Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments, Real Estate Law and Residential Inspection for Real Estate Agent courses offered through distance education, that have not been approved to meet the new content revisions, will not be accepted for qualifying credit if completed after this date.
