The newly updated Consumer Protection Notice (CPN) required for use as of February 1, 2021, is available on the Texas Real Estate Commission's website. 

The CPN must be displayed in a readily noticeable location in each place of business the broker maintains and a link must be posted on your business website homepage in a readily noticeable place.  The website's link must either state "Texas Real Estate Commission Consumer Protection Notice" in at least 10-point font or "TREC Consumer Protection Notice," in at least 12-point font.  

To ensure that the transition from the previous version of the notice to the updated version was as easy as possible, the URL for the updated notice is the same as the old version. As a result, if a website currently includes a link to the CPN in compliance with the above posting requirements, no action is needed.
