TREC is pleased to announce that the Chair of our Education Standards Advisory Committee (ESAC), Susan Jones has received the Larry Outlaw Education Excellence Award at this year's Real Estate Education Association (REEA) conference.
This award is bestowed annually upon a member of REEA who does not hold the DREI (Distinguished Real Estate Instructor) designation, but who, while serving in a regulatory or education role, has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the elevation of real estate education to the level represented by the DREI designation program.
Since ESAC’s inception in 2013, Susan has served as its Chair and has successfully navigated this committee to many significant and impactful accomplishments. TREC’s mission is to protect consumers of real estate services by ensuring qualified and ethical service providers through education, licensing and regulation. In support of this mission, ESAC has reviewed and revised course curriculum standards, content guidelines, course delivery methodologies, and instructor certification requirements.
ESAC’s extraordinary efforts also enabled one of our approved qualifying education providers to receive REEA’s Online Education Program of the Year Award for the provider’s 180-hour Texas Pre-licensing Course package. This award is a direct result of the highly improved design and delivery standards that ESAC recommended and TREC implemented consistent with its mission.
TREC is extremely grateful to Susan for her outstanding dedication and her many contributions to the improvement of real estate education standards in Texas.
