At the August TREC Meeting, the Commission adopted revisions to the Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, and Law of Agency course approval forms. On September 11, 2024, qualifying education providers were eligible to begin submitting course application forms to offer these revised courses.
What Changed?
Revisions include adding, reordering, and removing content to ensure each course is relevant for today’s industry and meets course objectives.
Deadlines for Education Providers
Education providers who are currently approved to offer Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, or Law of Agency have 12 months to revise classroom courses and 15 months to revise distance education courses.
Expiration of Existing Course Outlines
Existing classroom Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, and Law of Agency course approval will expire September 11, 2025.
Existing distance education Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, and Law of Agency course approval will expire December 11, 2025.
Once an education provider receives approval to offer one of the revised courses, their approval to offer the previously approved course will automatically expire.
